Necromancer Story

Necromancer Story is an interesting beat 'em up that borrows the most classic gameplay of the genre and modifies it slightly to offer an experience that, despite remaining faithful to the genre at all times, is different enough to include a few pleasant surprises.

The premise of Necromancer Story is definitely the most interesting part of the title: you'll play as a powerful sorcerer who is ambushed during a battle and loses his life, along with the rest of his army. A divine power brings him back from the dead, and in the process, he acquires the ability to resurrect and turn any creature that has recently died into an ally. Your character's physical abilities are nothing to write home about, so you'll have to take advantage of this new ability to make others fight for you.

The gameplay in Necromancer Story is very simple and similar to other titles in the genre: with a joystick located on the left side of the screen, you can control the movements of your character, and with the buttons on the right side, you can attack, interact, and protect yourself from enemy attacks. When you have enough mana, you can revive any dead character, ally or not, and make him fight on your side until he dies again.

Although the premise of Necromancer Story is very appealing, its gameplay can make it feel slightly repetitive after beating the first few levels. Even so, fans of the genre are sure to enjoy this epic adventure full of medieval fantasy.
